How to Quit Any Online Casino
To quit an online casino, self-exclude from it directly for the longest period it offers, then block gambling sites on every device you own. Pick your casino below for step-by-step instructions taken from that casino's own help center. If you have accounts at more than one, do all of them.
When I quit gambling, I self-excluded from every online and crypto casino I had access to, and from the physical casinos near me. It isn't a perfect fix, and there are workarounds. But it made gambling harder, and that was a big step forward for me.

The steps that work for any casino
- Withdraw your balance first. Once you're excluded, you may not be able to get back in to sort it out.
- Choose the longest exclusion, or permanent. Some casinos reopen your account automatically the moment a timed exclusion ends.
- If there's no button, ask support. Copy and paste: "I have a gambling problem. Please permanently self-exclude me and close my account so it can't be reopened, and confirm by email."
- Get it in writing. Keep the confirmation email. If support offers a short break or limits instead, ask again for permanent.
- Do every account. Search your email for sign-up and promo messages to find casinos you've forgotten.
- Block the workarounds. Block gambling sites on your phone and computer, cut off gambling payments at your bank, and cash out crypto you'd be tempted to gamble with.
Regulated sites vs. offshore and crypto casinos
Licensed sites in your province or state may share one self-exclusion list. In Ontario, BetGuard blocks every regulated site with one registration. In Alberta, one registration covers PlayAlberta, bet365, Sports Interaction and every other licensed site. Offshore and crypto casinos don't check those lists, so you have to exclude from each one separately.
Don't see your casino?
Use the steps above with its live support. Then tell me which casino it was, and I'll work on a guide for it.
If it still doesn't feel like enough
Self-exclusion kept me out of the casinos, but for a year and a half it didn't quiet my head. What finally did was filling that time with something else: here's how chess helped me quit gambling.
