How to Quit theScore Bet: Self-Exclude for 1 or 5 Years
To quit theScore Bet, open the app, tap the Profile icon in the top-right corner, choose Responsible Gaming, then Self Exclusion at the bottom of the list. According to theScore Bet, you can take a 1-year or 5-year break. Choose 5 years.
When I quit gambling, I self-excluded from every casino and betting site I had access to, for as long as each one allowed. It isn't a perfect fix, and there are workarounds. But it made gambling harder, and that was a big step forward for me.
Why theScore Bet is harder to walk away from
theScore started as a sports scores and news app, and many people had it on their phone long before it took bets. When the app you check for scores is also a sportsbook, every score update is a nudge to place a bet. If you're quitting, consider deleting the app entirely and getting scores somewhere that doesn't sell betting.

Block every licensed sportsbook at once
theScore Bet operates in regulated markets, which means your province may let you block every licensed site in one step:
- Alberta: theScore Bet is licensed in Alberta's market, where one registration blocks every licensed site.
- Ontario: theScore Bet is regulated through iGaming Ontario. Self-exclude from each app you use, and ask ConnexOntario about programs that cover more than one site.

If it still doesn't feel like enough
