How to Quit Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino: Self-Exclude

Chains and a padlock locking out Fanatics Sportsbook and other gambling apps: how to self-exclude from Fanatics

To quit Fanatics Sportsbook and Casino, contact Fanatics support at support@betfanatics.com and ask to self-exclude. According to Fanatics, the minimum term is one year, and until it ends you can't log in, bet, deposit or change your account settings. You can also ask support to close your account at any time.

When I quit gambling, I self-excluded from every casino and betting site I had access to, for as long as each one allowed. It isn't a perfect fix, and there are workarounds. But it made gambling harder, and that was a big step forward for me.

How to self-exclude from Fanatics, step by step

  1. Withdraw your balance first. Once you're excluded you can't log in, and Fanatics says you'd have to contact support to withdraw. Do it now.
  2. Email support@betfanatics.com from the email on your account and ask to self-exclude.
  3. Ask for the longest term available. One year is only the minimum.
  4. Ask about your state's list. Fanatics says that in some states you can self-exclude from every operator at once. Ask support whether yours is one of them.
  5. Delete the app and turn off notifications.

If Fanatics contacts you anyway

Operators aren't allowed to market to people who've self-excluded. In 2026, Colorado fined Fanatics $20,000 for sending promotions to a self-excluded customer. If you get offers after excluding, screenshot them and report them to your state's gaming regulator.

Block every licensed sportsbook at once

  • US states: most states run a voluntary exclusion list through their gaming regulator. Search "[your state] gaming commission self-exclusion", or ask the helpline below.
  • Ontario: BetGuard blocks every regulated Ontario site with one registration.
  • Alberta: one registration blocks every licensed site.

Don't stop at Fanatics

Block it everywhere: how to block gambling sites on your phone and computer, and how to block gambling payments at your bank.

  • Every account you have. Search your email for sign-up and promo messages to find sites you've forgotten, and self-exclude from each one.

Block the workarounds

  • Blocking software. GamCare lists several tools, including BetBlocker (Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, Android and Fire OS) and Gamban. Install one on every device.
  • Your bank. Ask your bank about blocking gambling transactions on your cards.
  • Your feeds. Mute sportsbook accounts. Promotions peak around big games.
  • Someone you trust. Tell one person what you've done.

If it still doesn't feel like enough

Self-exclusion kept me out of the casinos, but for a year and a half it didn't quiet my head. What finally did was filling that time with something else: here's how chess helped me quit gambling.
