Roobet Review from a Gambling Addict's Perspective
Read this before you read any other Roobet review
I’m Andy, a former addict
I struggled with gambling addiction when I turned 18 up until my mid 20's. I accumulated roughly $100,000 worth of debt while trying to raise a family, get an education, and navigate the world.
Gambling took some of the best years of my life away from me. I can't get them back. But I hope I can help others avoid making the same mistake that I did.
This is an honest review of the online crypto casino Roobet, from the perspective of a former gambling addict.
One thing to know up front: there is no sign-up link on this page. No promo code. No bonus. Nobody pays me if you open an account. Nearly every other review site uses what are called "affiliate codes" to try and take money from new players signing up.
I've been in the marketing industry for over a decade. I've worked with some of the largest companies in North America as a graphic designer and marketing strategist. Knowing how this world of advertising and social media works is my key to understand what's really happening behind the scenes and shed some light on these predatory campaigns.
I am creating content with a purpose:
I've been making YouTube videos as a hobby since the platform was conceived. I've followed trends, had viral hits, and dreamed of making it big as a "creator".
Nowadays, I simply want to help, and provide valuable content for anyone willing to watch or listen. My goal is to help at least one person make a positive change in their life.
Using my story, my expertise, and my passion for creating content and telling stories, to put more good into the world, and fight back against an industry that almost took everything from me.
This review exists for one reason: when you search "Roobet review", almost every result gets paid if you sign up. I want you to find one that doesn't. Nobody pays me if you open an account, and I'd rather you didn't.
If you want to join me in pushing back against Big Gamba, share this page with someone. Tell them to read the story if they have a spare 5 minutes.

Roobet: the bare basics
Roobet is an online crypto casino and sportsbook. It was founded in 2018 and started pushing hard as a business in mid-2019 (SBC News, Decrypt). Co-founder Matt Duea is its public face.
It's run by Raw Entertainment B.V., a company registered in Curaçao, and it holds a Curaçao licence (Canadian Gaming Business, Football365). You can deposit in crypto like BTC, ETH, USDT and SOL, and in some places by card. It sells slots, live game shows, table games, its own "Roobet Originals," and a sportsbook.
It's big. Roobet is the second-largest crypto casino by deposits, behind only Stake: about $9.38 billion in deposits over the 12 months to October 2026, up 181% year on year (Surgence, using Business of iGaming / Tanzanite data). That's money going in, not money lost. But it tells you how many people are feeding it.
| What | The short version |
|---|---|
| Owners | Raw Entertainment B.V., registered in Curaçao. Co-founder Matt Duea is the public face. |
| Licence | Curaçao. Not licensed in the UK, the US, Ontario or Australia. |
| Money | Mostly crypto. Card deposits in some regions. |
| Products | Slots, live game shows, Roobet Originals, sportsbook. |
| Size | #2 crypto casino by deposits. About $9.38B in 12 months. |
| United States | Excluded. Not available. |
| Canada | Blocked in Ontario. Offshore everywhere else. |
| UK / Australia | Restricted. |
Roobet excludes the United States (Decrypt). It isn't licensed in Ontario and blocks it (Canadian Gaming Business). The UK and Australia are on its restricted list too (The Spike, The Esports Advocate).
Why the licence matters to you: a Curaçao licence is not the same as being regulated where you live. If something goes wrong, your local regulator can't help you. Your province's or state's self-exclusion program doesn't cover it. I break this down in Is Roobet legit?
The branding: a club, not a casino
Roobet doesn't sell itself as a casino. Its co-founder calls it "a club" that makes things its community is into. It works with creators, influencers, celebrities and athletes to manufacture viral moments (SBC News). It's worked. Posts with its hashtag have been viewed more than 440 million times on TikTok.
Here's how the machine is built.
- Celebrities. Snoop Dogg became Roobet's "Chief Ganjaroo Officer" in 2023 (Decrypt). That deal produced "Snoop's Hotbox," a Snoop-themed version of its Crash game. Boxer Canelo Álvarez was a brand ambassador as of January 2024. It runs MMA podcasts with UFC fighters, and its free-to-play Roobet.fun site became the UFC's official social casino partner (SBC News).
- Football. Roobet is Chelsea FC's Official Regional Betting Partner for Latin America and Canada, a multi-year deal that includes content made with first-team players (Chelsea FC). The deal is billed as covering Canada, but not Ontario. Roobet told Canadian Gaming Business it "will only be relevant to regions where Roobet has the appropriate licensing to operate" (Canadian Gaming Business).
- Esports. Roobet runs its own Counter-Strike tournament, the Roobet Cup. In 2022, Danish team Astralis signed a Roobet deal and cancelled it within 24 hours. Its CEO said the club "did not perform [its] due diligence well enough around local legal matters" (Inven Global). In November 2025, 100 Thieves returned to Counter-Strike as "100 Thieves Roobet." The org said there would be no gambling streams tied to the deal. It came a month after it laid off twelve staff (Esports News UK).
- Streamers. This is the engine. In September 2025, 100 Thieves founder Nadeshot signed with Roobet. It isn't available in the US, where he lives and where most of his audience is (The Esports Advocate). He streamed from Mexico on Kick. He said he was offered a large payment, and argued his audience is mostly adults (esports.gg). OpTic's Scump and H3CZ also hosted Roobet gambling streams, and drew backlash from fans who pointed out their audience skews young (Insider Gaming). In January 2026, TimTheTatman joined. He streamed more than 30 hours of Roobet gambling on Kick that month, including a single spin on Crazy Time worth over $500,000 (Esports.net). In October 2026, Nadeshot was criticized for posting an AI-generated Roobet ad. His response: "the internet is incredibly dramatic" (Dexerto).
Why Kick? Because in 2022, Twitch banned streams of unlicensed casinos. Roobet was one of the four sites it named, alongside Stake, Rollbit and Duelbits (NPR). Kick is the platform from Stake's founders. I wrote about that in Is Kick a gambling site?
Roobet's streamer marketing has been questioned for years. In 2021, YouTuber Coffeezilla released a six-part series investigating Roobet and its promotion by Nelk's Stevewilldoit. Steve later disputed it, saying "what he stated was inaccurate," according to Coffeezilla (Dexerto). Dexerto reported it was unknown whether he would actually sue. For the full playbook, read how casinos use influencers to sell gambling.
What that marketing looks like to an addict
- Crash is built for speed. Games like Crash and the other Originals settle in seconds. No reels, no waiting. Just bet, watch, bet again. That's the loop I chased for years, compressed to its purest form. Putting Snoop's face on it doesn't make it a game. It makes it a costume.
- The jackpot clip is the ad. A $500,000 spin on stream travels everywhere. You never see the economics behind it, how long the session ran, or what the streamer is paid. You just see the moment you want to feel.
- "Cashback" is a retention tool. Rolling cashback and an invite-only VIP program with its own events and missions (Football365) feel like the house is giving back. It's giving back a slice of what you lost so you'll lose the rest.
- A weekly raffle is a weekly reason. A $100,000 weekly raffle gives you a reason to come back every single week. Addicts don't need more reasons.
- Crypto puts distance between you and the money. When it's 0.02 of something instead of rent, losing doesn't hurt in the moment. It hurts later, all at once.
- "Not available in your country" isn't a wall. Roobet excludes the US. Many users reach it anyway through VPNs (Esports.net), while American creators stream it to American fans. A person in the grip of this will find the side door. And once they're through it, none of their local protections come with them.
None of this is an accident. It's design.
Why every other Roobet review wants you to sign up
Search "Roobet review" and most results end in a sign-up button. Here's why. Casino affiliates are usually paid a revenue share: a cut of the net gaming revenue from the players they send, often for that player's entire lifetime on the site (Track360). Net gaming revenue is, in plain words, what players lose. One industry example: a player deposits and loses €2,000, and the affiliate on a 30% deal earns €600 (StatsDrone). Roobet's own program is listed at 10% to 35% revenue share (StatsDrone).
So the review that tells you Roobet is "great" makes more money the more you lose. That's not a review. That's a funnel.
This page works the other way round:
- There's no link to Roobet anywhere on it.
- No promo codes, no bonuses, no referral income.
- It's funded by Founders who pay to keep the investigations independent, not by casino money.
If you want to fight back:
- Don't click affiliate links. Every click on a "Roobet review" sign-up button pays someone to keep doing this.
- When a creator you watch promotes Roobet without clearly saying it's an ad, report it. Then unfollow, and tell them why.
- Know something about Roobet's affiliate deals or streamer contracts? Send me a tip.
- Share this page with someone who's about to search "Roobet review."
- Fund the investigations. Become a Founder.
The verdict
Roobet is huge, loud, and everywhere young fans already are: Chelsea content, Counter-Strike tournaments, TikTok, and the streamers they grew up watching. All of that makes it very good at getting deposits. None of it makes it safe.

Fund the fight
Pawn of God is funded by its audience, not by casinos. Founders pay $3 a month to keep the investigations independent, get investigation chapters first, the members-only newsletter and Discord, and a permanent block on the Founders' Mural. There are only 2,000 Founder spots.
